Business model

Kranpunkten purchases machines from a number of selected equipment suppliers, with strict requirements placed on the environmental performance of the machines. The machines are transported to our depots, where electric units are charged with green energy, including from the depots’ own solar panel installations.

The machines are rented out to Kranpunkten’s customers, primarily in the construction sector but also in the industrial sector. Kranpunkten offers a range of services linked to machine rental, including assembly and advice on machine selection. The Funktionspool concept is a service that coordinates machines, logistics, waste management, and other service and support functions at the customer’s site. This concept provides both economic and environmental benefits for Kranpunkten as well as our customers.

Kranpunkten’s training operations complement the rental business. By training customers and employees, Kranpunkten contributes to improved working environments and safer workplaces.

Transport from our depots to and from customers’ worksites is carried out by Kranpunkten’s logistics partners. Alongside the first electric trucks used for this purpose, Kranpunkten works to ensure that the alternative fuel HVO100 is used for these transports.

During the rental period, we are always available to our customers for support, service, and any pool solutions. Our service vehicles are gradually being replaced by electric vehicles. Electric machines are charged at the customer’s site during the rental period, and we promote the use of HVO100 as fuel for machines with combustion engines.

Each machine is regularly maintained, serviced, and inspected to ensure it meets quality, sustainability, and safety requirements. The fleet is continuously renewed, and we are gradually transitioning to more electric and hybrid-powered units. Upon disposal, the machines are sold to selected buyers in the used equipment market.
